Evaluation Policy:
- The Free Evaluation software described below is the only evaluation offered.
- The evaluation distribution is slightly different from the Commercial Distribution.
- The Commercial Distribution is not available as evaluation software.
System requirements of ZeroFault evaluation software:
- OS: AIX
- OS Levels: AIX53, AIX61, AIX71
- Disk space: 22 MB in /usr/lpp/ZeroFault
Limitations:
ZeroFault is not supported on the JVM, but may be used with the JVM using certain JVM
start-up options and certain ZeroFault start-up options.
Capabilities of ZeroFault evaluation software:
The ZeroFault evaluation software is fully functional and may be used on
your programsor any other executable program. Small programs are those
with a size of less than 400K.
The capabilities of the evaluation software vary with the size of the program being
inspected and are summarized in the following table:

Note:
The stack traces of this feature are only available in commercial edition - not available in evaluation edition.
Evaluating small programs:
On small programs, the evaluation is functionally identical to the commercial edition.
Evaluating large programs:
On large programs, the evaluation has less features than the commercial edition. The stack
traces are obscured. BY DESIGN, ;) the demo obscures just enough detail to make it
impractical to solve your bugs in your large program, it provides the information to determine:
- 1) How incredibly fast and easy it is to get diagnostic data from your programs.
- 2) whether your program is capable of running in the ZF environment (i.e., you just
confirm normal operation of your program).
- 3) the errors that the commercial version will reveal on the same probgram.
- 4) whether leaks exist by using OneTouch, LogicalHeaps, or SnapShots.
- 5) whether ZF's file/memory/speed overhead is practical in your program's environment.
About Your Email Address:
We use your email address only for the purposes of emailing you the evaluation. Period.
We only accept company email addresses (not yahoo, hotmail, etc.). This is the easiest
way for us to know which companies are evaluating our products.
