System requirements of ZFtrace evaluation software:

  • OS: AIX
  • OS Levels: 32 Bit AIX 4.3.3, 5.1, or 5.2
  • Disk space: 5 MB in /usr/lpp

Limitations:
ZFtrace is presently limited to 32Bit applications that can be run on either 32Bit or
64Bit kernels. 64Bit applications on 64Bit kernels will be available in the future.
ZFtrace is not supported on the JVM.

Capabilities of ZFtrace evaluation software:
The ZFtrace evaluation software is fully functional and may be used on your programs
or any other executable program. Small programs are those with a size of less than 125K.
The capabilities of the evaluation software vary with the size of the program being
inspected and are summarized in the following table:

Evaluating small programs:
On small programs, the evaluation will closely simulate the commercial edition.

Evaluating large programs:
On large programs, the evaluation has less features than the commercial edition. The
stack traces are obscured. While large programs have limitations, the evaluation does
provide important information because it is possible to determine:
  • 1) whether the application is capable of running in the ZF environment by
confirming normal operation and functions of the program,
  • 2) the types of system calls that the commercial version will reveal on the same application
  • 3) whether ZF's file/memory/speed overhead is practical in your program's environment.

About Your Email Address:
We use your email address only for the purposes of emailing you the evaluation. Period.
We only accept company email addresses (not yahoo, hotmail, etc.). This is the easiest
way for us to know which companies are evaluating our products.
